The weather is so hot, generator runs pretty often, very soon it passed 50hrs, and now at 100hrs...
The generator is a very strange mark in taiwan, it's in fact a combination of small diesel engine and a AC 220V generator....
The whole assemble is VTE Paguro 9000V, the company web site:
www.volpitecno.com
and the diesel engine is Lombardini.....
Both form Italy.....(suddenly the said story of alfa romio and fiat in Taiwan comes to my mind)
there are several manuals, one for VTE, the others from engine, the manual of engines are duplicated in different language, and there are different kinds in function:
safty operation
service(noted where are the distributor....the closed one on it is in China....bad feeling again...)
use maintenance
Before checking the engine on board, I read the manual, and made a table of maintenance....
which indicated things need to be check or replace with according hours.
Generator
Beside the normal oil, oil filter, impeller, belt, there is also a zinc anode on a screw and coolant filer as well as coolant pipe.
The funny thing is that there is not part nr of above components on the manual, I wandering how can we order these parts....
7/1 with the help of 耿, I started to open the house of generator....
first, look, the generator is not installed at the center of chamber, and the housing is in touch of the maintenance door. this should be the reason why port side cabin is more noisy than the other one.
When you understand that is one is installed by chinese,then....you don't ask why any more.
the generator is installed on top of the boat engine, the room is so limited.
I have seen hunter 456 and Tayana T48, both generator has good room for maintenance.
The white covers, can be open like a shell, you can push the back side cover to the room behind, but you won't be able to remove the front side cover, you can only loosen it.
Finally, we found out that remove the battery(which is not really fixed), there is a chance to take the front cover out....
At first look, this doesn't look like what I have seen on manual......well, it's italian, some times some thing can be different.
So, the first thing is to find the tag, according to the manual, the model and serial nr should be noted on the tag.
the manual on hand is noted with LDW 502/702/1003/1404.....
But the tag I found, it's nothing similar.
The one I found is marked as "6M0200" and 4533702102, which I believe one is model name and the later one is serial nr......
it's complete different from the manual.....#$%^&*&^%$#@$%^&^%$#$%^&..............
I started to find part nr on the machine:
This is fuel water seperator, which installed out side of white shell.
Below is oil filter: 107.2175.117
Below is fuel filter: 174.2175.256
below is the coolant outlet screw, it was slightly wet when I check it lastime, tighten it again.
the belt is covered up, no intention to open it now....
this engine has no 12V generator.....
Need to check how the generator battery is charged....
the orange one is oil level checker, the oil seems still clear and the level is slight higher than max.
the yellow copper one, is oil pump, we can pump oil out with it. Manual recommend glans and glasses for protection.
the orange one on top on engine is where we can add oil, the room is so limited, we will need a pipe to do this....
An other question comes to my mind, the manual noted that oil should be Sae 15-40w, and recommand total, but, how many liters? nothing mentioned in the manual.
According to manual, there should be a small glass window on the top of the heat exchanger, where we can check the level of coolant....
But there is no window on it, even there is a place for it.
I can only open the top of coolant tank, and test with my finger, since you have no way to see the level.
this will also require good technic when adding water.
since the machine is different form the manual(partially similar...)
I believe the black one is where we can find the coolant filter.
And this crew, could be the zinc one....but I'm not sure....need to find the manual for this machine.
update 2016/7/3
I found a site from UK, they have a service kit for paguro 6000~18000, looks great, but the part nr is not the same as mine on boat.

update 7/4

the big wheel at the bottom side is in fact a belt drive, which should drive a 12V alternator, which serve to charge the start battery. Since there is nothing on my generator engine, I was wondering how they charge the battery....
So, i process a measurement on the battery voltage,
before starting: 11V, during pre heat 10V, while starting 9V.....
After generator working normally, the voltage is still 11V.....
 |
| while generator started, nothing charge the battery... |
I then start the D2-75, and wish to see if the battery charging controller will charge this battery...
The answer is NO....
That means one day, the battery will die.....
Ok, the who is stupid? the designer or the buyer?
There is also something I do not understand. the following is the fuel pipe in and out of generator shell. there are 2 white connectors, one side is bounded with zipper, the other side is free. Isn't it should also have something to clamp the tube?
I should also find something to protect the fuel tube from the opening of shell, the edge is rather sharp and the generator vibrates a lot when working.
