Thetis satellite phone
The phone is different from the one of Hera, this seems certified by NCC....
it's supplied by CHT, the phone seems to have several functions, ex: you can program it to send out current location by sms.
or you can connect it to PC....
here I first noted the telephone nr:
When dial out, you first need to dial 00 then add country code...
This is the info from the sim card
To check how many point we still have on the phone, you need to dial:
*151#
then the phone will pass the inquiry and return the remain.
B37 port side stern fair lead
Generator.....Nothing matched....
The weather is so hot, generator runs pretty often, very soon it passed 50hrs, and now at 100hrs...
The generator is a very strange mark in taiwan, it's in fact a combination of small diesel engine and a AC 220V generator....
The whole assemble is VTE Paguro 9000V, the company web site: www.volpitecno.com
and the diesel engine is Lombardini.....
Both form Italy.....(suddenly the said story of alfa romio and fiat in Taiwan comes to my mind)
there are several manuals, one for VTE, the others from engine, the manual of engines are duplicated in different language, and there are different kinds in function:
safty operation
service(noted where are the distributor....the closed one on it is in China....bad feeling again...)
use maintenance
Before checking the engine on board, I read the manual, and made a table of maintenance....
which indicated things need to be check or replace with according hours.
Generator
Beside the normal oil, oil filter, impeller, belt, there is also a zinc anode on a screw and coolant filer as well as coolant pipe.
The funny thing is that there is not part nr of above components on the manual, I wandering how can we order these parts....
7/1 with the help of 耿, I started to open the house of generator....
first, look, the generator is not installed at the center of chamber, and the housing is in touch of the maintenance door. this should be the reason why port side cabin is more noisy than the other one.
When you understand that is one is installed by chinese,then....you don't ask why any more.
the generator is installed on top of the boat engine, the room is so limited.
I have seen hunter 456 and Tayana T48, both generator has good room for maintenance.
The white covers, can be open like a shell, you can push the back side cover to the room behind, but you won't be able to remove the front side cover, you can only loosen it.
Finally, we found out that remove the battery(which is not really fixed), there is a chance to take the front cover out....
At first look, this doesn't look like what I have seen on manual......well, it's italian, some times some thing can be different.
So, the first thing is to find the tag, according to the manual, the model and serial nr should be noted on the tag.
the manual on hand is noted with LDW 502/702/1003/1404.....
But the tag I found, it's nothing similar.
The one I found is marked as "6M0200" and 4533702102, which I believe one is model name and the later one is serial nr......
it's complete different from the manual.....#$%^&*&^%$#@$%^&^%$#$%^&..............
I started to find part nr on the machine:
This is fuel water seperator, which installed out side of white shell.
Below is fuel filter: 174.2175.256
the belt is covered up, no intention to open it now....
this engine has no 12V generator.....
Need to check how the generator battery is charged....
the orange one is oil level checker, the oil seems still clear and the level is slight higher than max.
the yellow copper one, is oil pump, we can pump oil out with it. Manual recommend glans and glasses for protection.
update 2016/7/3
I found a site from UK, they have a service kit for paguro 6000~18000, looks great, but the part nr is not the same as mine on boat.

update 7/4

the big wheel at the bottom side is in fact a belt drive, which should drive a 12V alternator, which serve to charge the start battery. Since there is nothing on my generator engine, I was wondering how they charge the battery....
So, i process a measurement on the battery voltage,
before starting: 11V, during pre heat 10V, while starting 9V.....
After generator working normally, the voltage is still 11V.....
I then start the D2-75, and wish to see if the battery charging controller will charge this battery...
The answer is NO....
That means one day, the battery will die.....
Ok, the who is stupid? the designer or the buyer?
There is also something I do not understand. the following is the fuel pipe in and out of generator shell. there are 2 white connectors, one side is bounded with zipper, the other side is free. Isn't it should also have something to clamp the tube?
I should also find something to protect the fuel tube from the opening of shell, the edge is rather sharp and the generator vibrates a lot when working.

An other question comes to my mind, the manual noted that oil should be Sae 15-40w, and recommand total, but, how many liters? nothing mentioned in the manual.
According to manual, there should be a small glass window on the top of the heat exchanger, where we can check the level of coolant....
But there is no window on it, even there is a place for it.
I can only open the top of coolant tank, and test with my finger, since you have no way to see the level.
this will also require good technic when adding water.
since the machine is different form the manual(partially similar...)
I believe the black one is where we can find the coolant filter.
And this crew, could be the zinc one....but I'm not sure....need to find the manual for this machine.

air conditioning cooling system failed.....when customer on board.
I have been tested the air conditioning system once the board is at Ma Kun, especially with crews who need to stay on boat in the night, since company did not prepare room on land for them....the weather is very very hot.....without conditioning, it could be very difficult to sleep, and I don't wish them to lack of sleep. On the sea, you need them to be in good condition.
one night, the generator shows yellow flash as warning sign. But, can't found things wrong.
the manual says only reset it. So I turn it off and wish it can works normally next day.....
those 2 days works fine, one the day of activity, we start the generator and turns on the air conditioning10 minutes later , it cease to work. @#$%^&*&^%$#$%^&*........the customers are already on the peer.......
open the startboard aft cabin, under the bed, there is the sea cock of cooling system, remove the filter, there is few piece of plastic. clear and try, no luck......
remove the hose from sea cock, and open the seacock, no water float in, it seems to be blocked.....
there is no time to go under water to check it.
Vola, only a plastic bag...that is enough to stop your machine.
also plan to lower inlet filter, to reduce the resistance to the pump.

After clearning out every thing, and make sure seawater flow into vabin smoothly(strange experience....)
then you need to fill in water in every hoses, to prevent vacancy, other wise the pump can't work....
so the air conditioning finally works.....
But after half day sailing, the air conditioning stop again.....
I believe there is not plastic bag(since we are sailing, not big change to catch plastics.)
It could be the air in the pipe cause the problem.
I can't stop plastic in to my pipe, but I wish to have a chance to prevent the air problem.

Stern platform fail to active.....when customers on board......
The stern platform of B51 is electrical, the winch pulls up the platform with a string.
Looks great at first look, but soon....
2 questions come in my mind:
1.what if the winch failed, how we can release it, or pull it up?
2. if the sting breaks, how to fix the platform in up position? there is no extra holes on the platform where I can hold it....
the small black relay is quite hot....very hot...
the question is that : there are a lot of wires, but nothing get labeled, lacking wiring information, schematic, control diagram, we have no idea how the thing works, there fore there is no way to know which on is which one. I can nto believe this is a german product. according to CE rules, every wire has to be labeled, and can be found in a chart, other wise, there is no one can repair this system.
So, our customer pass a tour without platform to get close to beautiful waters.
26/6 when back to Ma Kun, Mou start to look into the system, we start to try something without and diagram on hand.(which is risky in my knowledge.)
The first Mou found is that there is a rotate part after the winch, he tried to rotate it, and suddenly the platform drop down, this for sure surprised every one.
The rotate part located in a very deep place, you have no way to see it with eyes. after taking a photo with mobile, we release that it's a clutch, rotated ti one way to engage the winch, another way to release it.
but motor is still not working. and now we can't get the platform up.
we unmout the black control block, and dis assemble it, and finally found out a little bit, how this work.
the black one will keep the + and - of motor both on battery negative. if one control enable, it will switch one wire of motor to battery +, if another control active, it would switch another motor wire
to battery +. This is how it control motor rotate in 2 different direction.
But there are still 2 position limit switch, one is located on the deck, near the hanging wire of platform. the other one is a switch inside the cabin, near the winch.
The inside one, seems lost contact with wire, but we can't really understand how it is designed.
after few try, we found out that the out side limit switch controls the the relay, which by some way, feed in control info. so the relay is always on when the platform is at up position. Which means it is always active, once service battery switch is on.( I believe the relay is a chinese one, by that quality, it is normally hot, wondering when it can get on fire.....)
Which trying, Mou found out that the only problem comes from the pulling wire is out of the limit switch on the winch side. Simply re-mount the wire, and it can be active.
the design seems first check the limit switches, when the wire tension is low, then it can't be switched lower. the winch can only be pulled up. when the upper switch is touched by platform(means the platform is on up position), you can only switch down the platform.
Nice design, but the wiring is terrible, we need control chart and wiring diagram in case we need to repair it again.
The power of stern platform need to be separated with an independent switch, so that the limit detection switch won't always active the relay. The relay is very very hot, and bolted on wood, this worrys me from time to time.

we first winch it up, and try to find out where is the problem. the manual only descript the switch is located on the startboard side, and the control unit is located in the port side, after cabin(the in side of it.)
while opening the hatch, I found a winch motor, a relay and a big black control terminal. (where you can see garmin navigation unit get power from it.)the small black relay is quite hot....very hot...
